The business owner had two salons, this was one of them he wanted to bring all the staff together in one location so I was given the brief to redesign the space. We had to fit more stylist in an already compact unit so I advised on the use of technology to take payments in the chairs and suggested a phased appointment system so that customers would not be kept waiting for a chair. This meant we did not need either a reception desk or a waiting area, freeing up space for 3 extra sections. I also reconfigured the layout to make the staff kitchenette bigger. The design proposed was full of colour with an eye catching mural and the other walls a skin-flattering pale pink. We installed a Sonos system so that customers could choose the music. Low energy lighting to keeps the utility bills low.
Business has boomed!
